Latvia has one of the largest wolf populations in Europe. Up to 300 hunting permits are issued each year. Wolf hunting takes place from July 15 to March 15, or until reaching the legal limit. In our experience, the best time to hunt wolves is late August, September and November, but it is very challenging. The hunting methods include howling or waiting in hunting stands close to pre-set baits.
